So I already suggested this to Ben, but what if we convinced Car Throttle to create an “Oppo” community for us over there? It would have many of the same features as Kinja and as long as we never leave the Oppo community, we should be safe from the dangers of the GT-R fanboys out there.

Of course, as with all the other solutions, this would just be a last-ditch effort if worst comes to worst although I personally think it’s better than resigning our fate to some group chat somewhere. Just something to keep in mind, even if you currently hate Car Throttle to the extent that I do.

Personally I think whoever buys the site won’t want to shut down a pipeline of content for what’s become one of the largest car websites out there. Worst case scenario is probably ads on Oppo. Not great, but not an end.
